Viva! Latin Rhythm Workout is the answer to the current interest in both physical fitness & Latin music and dance.
Viva
Elise, Inc., is a Chicago-based company that has produced the first fitness
videos in both English and Spanish. The 45-minute workouts are for all
fitness levels and are designed to maximize fat burning, work up a sweat
without stressing joints, and get the hips and shoulders moving like never
before. A special feature of the videos is that they teach hot, sexy
movements that can be taken to the dance floor.
The
Spanish version will fill a void that has been ignored too long – fitness
for the Spanish speaking population. Although productions have been
translated to Spanish, there is always something lost in the translation when
the words are not straight from the instructor. There are currently 30
million Hispanic people in the United States, possessing $380 billion dollars
of annual spending power. Nationally, Hispanics are expected to become
the predominant minority group by 2050, with 24 percent of the population.
Elise Foss was born in Brazil and grew up there and in Venezuela. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Since childhood she has experienced many forms of Latin dance as well as studied ballet, jazz and modern dance. She is an international Aerobics Instructor and an experienced Personal Trainer certified by the American Council on Exercise. Elise is the fitness Expert for Telemundo’s Chicago morning show: Buenos Días Chicago. She also has a fitness column in the Chicago newspaper, Deportemas.
Elise worked to produce an aerobics video that was not just about working out. It had to be about having fun, feeling sexy, and being self-expressed while burning the calories. Elise says, “I am so thrilled to be able to offer people a great alternative to working out: dancing as a way to stay healthy!”
